Alaric is a stunner, isn’t he? He’s an excellent example of how fostering an animal can save lives. Alaric is an alumni of Austin Pets Alive. He was living in the main cattery at the shelter but was constantly sick with an upper respiratory infection and was on several medications. His mom Sara decided to foster him to see if he would get better living in a different environment. He did. In only two days!
After Alaric was symptom free, Sara decided to introduce him to the rest of the family, which included a 100 pound mastiff mix named Al, short for Alistair, and two female cats. Who did Alaric bond with? The dog, of course!
Sara decided to keep Alaric, whose nickname is Little Al. When Little Al isn’t snuggling with his best buddy, he’s busy napping, hanging with his people and playing with the family’s current foster cat.
Thank you for fostering Sara! 🙂
